Manchester Piccadilly Station Toilets
Manchester Piccadilly Station Toilets
Over the years I have needed to visit these toilets on many occasions, in the good old days they were sited below platform level but always clean and tidy, unfortunately for the last few years the ones on the main platform are somewhere I would never by choice use, even worse is the fact that they charge for the privilege of using them, at present it is 30p, of course as a traveler in a hurry the last thing we need is to have to search for the money to pay and, if have no change use the change machines before we managed to gain entry, I think its worth reminding readers at this point that the station is run by Network Rail a nationalized company so we already pay for this service
Often outside there are members of staff, I think they are employed by a private company, I do think if they spent more time inside cleaning them it would be a great help, although they do seem to go in with mop and bucket every so often. The toilets always smell strongly of urine, even if they have toilet blocks to help, which in themselves smell very strong, the hand dryers often will not work, or at least its finding the elusive ones that will, at times the door locks will not function or the flush does not work in certain of the cubicles.
If you can avoid them and wait till you find a better cleaner place then do so, lets hope somebody reads this and the station operators start to address this ongoing problem
